In 2016, The RTI2-B School of Recognition and Model of Demonstration School process was constructed to acknowledge schools for successful implementation of Response to Instruction and Intervention for Behavior (RTI2-B). The purpose of this identification is to promote schools sharing their practices, share examples of how the framework is being implemented, and celebrate each school’s effort and dedication to meeting the needs of all students. Eight schools in Middle TN were recognized, along with others from across the state.
For 2017-2018, adjustments were made to the application process. All interested schools that meet the requirements for consideration may apply for a School of Recognition designation.
Schools that meet the requirements for School of Recognition may be selected to apply for a Model of Demonstration School designation. There are Bronze and Silver designations available for 2017-2018, depending on the fidelity of implementation at Tier I and Tier II. Schools will have the opportunity to apply for Gold once completing Tier III training.
Requirements for consideration for a School of Recognition
- Schools must attend our RTI2-B Tier I Training before completing the application
- Schools of Recognition will be selected based on their TFI scores and responses to the application
- The TFI and TFI Action Plan are required to be considered a School of Recognition
The deadline for Recognition status for 2017-2018 has passed. Please stay tuned for instructions on how to apply next year! We want to see you on this list!
